John Shoup

John Shoup is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in fraud investigations and national security. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Director of Fraud Investigations at Comerica Bank since January 2016, Shoup previously had a distinguished 25-year career with the FBI, culminating in the role of Assistant Special Agent in Charge overseeing the National Security Branch in the Detroit Division. This role involved directing a large team focused on counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and cyber investigations in Michigan. Shoup has held various positions at the FBI, including Supervisor of the Oakland County Resident Agency and Unit Chief in the International Operations Division. Earlier in his career, John worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Deloitte and Touche, specializing in audit and tax. Shoup earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Michigan University.
