Darian Budarick

Darian Budarick has a diverse work experience in the agriculture and biotechnology industries. In 2014 and 2015, they worked as a Canola Breeder Intern at Cargill, gaining hands-on experience in canola breeding. From 2017 to 2019, they served as a Biotechnology Business Analyst and later as a Master Student Internship at Bioindustrial Innovation Canada (BIC). During this time, Darian analyzed biotechnology businesses and gained valuable research experience. In 2017, they joined Comet Bio as a Business Development Associate, where they performed market and financial analyses to support decision-making and new product development. Darian's role expanded at Comet Bio in 2020 when they became a Product and Regulatory Manager. Darian successfully acquired a self-GRAS in the US for a novel product, applied food safety knowledge to various production systems, and assisted in establishing multiple new HACCP systems. Currently, Darian serves as the Senior Manager of Product, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs at Comet Bio, overseeing product management, quality control, and regulatory affairs.

Darian Budarick has a comprehensive education history in the field of biotechnology and molecular biology and genetics. From 2010 to 2015, Darian attended the University of Guelph and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Molecular Biology and Genetics. Following this, Darian pursued further education by completing a Master's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Guelph from 2016 to 2017.
