Ben Temple is currently the Director at the Commerce Commission and serves as the Lead Advisor at the Ministry for Regulation. They held the position of Economic Advisor in the Office of Hon James Shaw from 2018 to 2019 and have worked as a Senior Analyst at both the New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development and The Treasury from 2006 to 2019. Ben also served as Principal Advisor at the New Zealand Productivity Commission and briefly at The Treasury in 2024. They earned a dual degree in Law and Economics, a BA LLB MBus, from the University of Otago between 1999 and 2006.
