Albert Redmond began their work experience in 1988 as a Customer Support Engineer for SISK Healthcare. Albert then moved on to Eircom, where they held various roles including Project Engineer, Market Development Manager, and Product Development Manager from 1989 to 1998. In 1998, they joined ODTR as a Senior Manager, responsible for delivering regulatory frameworks for wholesale products. In 2002, they became the Director of RegTel until 2009. Currently, they are the Head of Strategy at ComReg, where they manage teams and focuses on various strategic areas such as rural broadband, emerging competition bottlenecks, and network sharing.

Albert Redmond received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin in 1986. In the same year, they also pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the same institution, completing it in 1987. Albert then enrolled in the Marketing Institute of Ireland in 1991, where they completed the MII Graduate Program in Marketing Management in 1992. Albert furthered their education by obtaining a Post-Graduate Diploma in Strategy from the Irish Management Institute in 2007. Albert concluded their formal education with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management from Trinity College Dublin in 2010.
