Camille A. Olson is a partner of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Co-Chair of its National Complex Litigation Practice Group, and National Chairperson of its Complex Discrimination Litigation Practice Group. She serves on the firm’s National Labor and Employment Law Steering Committee and is the past National Chairperson of the Labor and Employment Practice Department. Since 2013, Ms. Olson has served as the Chairperson of the United States Chamber of Commerce’s Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) Subcommittee. She has worked with various industry representatives over the last 20 years to assist in forging legislative solutions on both state and federal levels with respect to employment discrimination, harassment, independent contractor status, and many other areas. Recently, she testified before the House Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Human Resources and Subcommittee on Workforce Protections on the Paycheck Fairness Act (H.R. 7). Camille regularly testifies on proposed EEO legislation and related issues. She has testified before the EEOC on behalf of the US Chamber of Commerce and SHRM as well as before the House on the priorities and effectiveness of the EEOC. She frequently works with leaders of business and government on ways to improve EEOC internal governance issues, including analyzing charge backlog, double delegation issues, and submitting comments on behalf of employers nationwide on proposed EEOC guidance on workplace retaliation and harassment.
