Joe’s interest in meteorology was fostered from a very young age in a love for severe thunderstorms. He followed his passion into college, where he became a lead forecaster for the Indiana Department of Transportation while earning his BS/MS degrees in Atmospheric Science from Purdue University. Joe’s first taste of weather applications to the energy and agriculture sectors came during an internship with Chesapeake Energy’s weather team in Chicago. He has also served on the American Meteorological Society's Energy Committee. He applies his knowledge/experience in both the energy and ag sectors to his daily forecasts.
