Amit K. has a diverse work experience starting in 2003 with VS Design Worx Private Ltd. as a Software Engineer. In 2005, they joined Capgemini Consulting as a Consultant and stayed there until 2007. During that time, they worked as a Software Engineer at Merrill Lynch, where they contributed to the development of a web application called Smart Forms. In 2008, Amit joined Summitworks Technologies as a Consultant and later moved to Hobsons, where they worked as an Application Developer until 2014. At Hobsons, they were part of the core team that built and managed 6 seasons of the Common App. Amit also led the development and integration of Naviance web services and Docufide web services. Since 2014, Amit has been working at Common App, initially as a Senior Software Developer and currently as a Principal Software Developer. In this role, they contribute to providing reliable services that promote equity, access, and integrity in the college application process.

Amit K. completed their Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A.) degree in Computer Engineering from Indira Gandhi National Open University from 2001 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering from APTECH Computer Education from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, they continued their studies at Indira Gandhi National Open University and obtained an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications in the field of Computer Science. In the same year, they also completed their Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) degree in Computer Engineering from the same university. Additionally, Amit K. has obtained several certifications in the field of cloud computing from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate in September 2019, AWS Certified Developer – Associate in September 2020, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner in August 2020.
