Cindy Jara

Cindy Jara is a seasoned digital communications professional currently serving as a Social Media Specialist at Common App since September 2025, focusing on enhancing the college application experience through engaging storytelling and creative content. Prior experience includes roles as Digital Communications Manager and Associate for Michelle Obama's Reach Higher Initiative, where Cindy developed social media strategies for a large following, along with a social media internship at Machen Florida Opportunity Scholarship Program, emphasizing outreach for first-generation students. Additional leadership experience includes chairing the Student Advisory Council of Undergraduate Affairs and serving as Director of Public Relations for the UF Hispanic Public Relations Student Association. Cindy holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Florida.
