Kevin Leahey

Kevin Leahey has a diverse work experience spanning over 13 years. Kevin started their career at Red Robin in 2008, where they served as the General Manager, Coach, and Field Training Operations Specialist. In this role, Kevin was responsible for the operations and field training of multiple company-owned restaurants, ensuring successful restaurant openings and maintaining guest satisfaction.

In 2014, Kevin joined Common App as a Solutions Analyst. Kevin was accountable for the administration of the learning management system and instructional design for technology services support teams. Kevin ensured constant availability of web-based courses, custom web pages, and learner data. Kevin also provided aggregate level reporting using custom SQL.

Later in their tenure at Common App, Kevin transitioned to the role of Technical Project Manager & Agile Coach. Kevin successfully implemented over 100 complex, cross-functional initiatives, focusing on change management, deployment strategy, user testing, and project management oversight. Kevin ensured the adoption of initiatives while delivering exceptional digital constituent experiences.

Currently, Kevin holds the position of Director of Technology Operations at Common App. Kevin is a valued contributor to the organization's culture, values, and behaviors. Kevin is responsible for the strategic vision and direction of Business Information Technology efforts, ensuring the security and integration of technical assets. Kevin also develops contemporary technology management practices to enhance the efficient delivery of value.

Kevin Leahey completed their education at Virginia Tech, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from 2003 to 2007. Kevin then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from 2007 to 2009 at the same institution. Additionally, Kevin Leahey has obtained certifications such as the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020 and the Certified Agile Leadership I from Scrum Alliance in May 2020.
