Tanya Shockley

Director of Brand & Operations at Common App

Tanya Shockley has a wide range of work experience across various industries. Tanya started their career at GFT USA, Corp. as a Sales Coordinator for the Valentino Uomo Line, where they facilitated sales and coordinated promotional campaigns. Tanya then moved on to become the Manager of Customer Service for the Joseph Abboud Line at the same company, where they provided leadership and coaching to customer service representatives.

Tanya later joined Frederic Fekkai, LLC as the Manager of Accessories Administration/Planning. In this role, they drove business development by analyzing sales data, preparing sales forecasts and reports, and creating strategic sales plans for wholesale accounts and retail locations.

Subsequently, Tanya worked at Coach as a Licensing Manager, responsible for maximizing licensee performance and compliance. Tanya compiled and monitored sales data and reporting from licensees and retail units, identifying risks and opportunities.

At the YWCA of White Plains & Greater Westchester, Tanya held various roles, including MIS & Member Services Manager and MIS & Customer Service Director. Tanya provided IT support, managed the IT help desk, and conducted strategic planning for the organization.

Currently, Tanya is the Director of Brand & Operations at Common App. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Director of Marketing, where they planned and managed association meetings and conferences, worked closely with senior leadership and internal stakeholders, and managed event budgets and timelines.

Overall, Tanya Shockley has demonstrated expertise in areas such as strategic planning, sales analysis, customer service, and event management throughout their career.

Tanya Shockley received their Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Rutgers Business School, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification in Cvent Event Management from Cvent in August 2020.
