Chris Tolles is an experienced entrepreneur and advisor, currently serving as an Advisor for the Common Crawl Foundation and rpv. With a longstanding role as an Advisor at Bullpen Capital since 2015, Chris has supported multiple portfolio companies and contributed to the firm's post-seed venture capital strategies. As President of Bankroll from 2021 to 2023, Chris developed a new participatory entertainment concept within the sports and luxury sectors. Additional advisory roles include working with HotStreak Fantasy Sports and serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at UC San Diego, where Chris connected various university stakeholders with Silicon Valley networks. Previously, Chris co-founded and led Topix, growing it into a leading local news aggregator and ultimately facilitating its acquisition by Publishers Clearing House in 2019. Chris holds a BA in Computer Science and Economics from UC San Diego and has experience in marketing and social networking through co-founding Spoke Software.
