Alex Rich, PhD, is an accomplished engineer with a diverse background in both military and healthcare analytics. They served as a Major and Senior Special Operations Pilot in the United States Air Force from 2004 to 2015, where they contributed significantly to flight scheduling and led successful combat missions. In the private sector, Alex co-founded F3 Healthcare and won a code-a-thon hosted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. They currently serve as the Data and Analytics Director at Common Defense and have held key roles in COVID-19 diagnostics analytics and software engineering. Alex holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Health Informatics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
