Perry O'Brien

Perry O'Brien is the Climate Justice Director at Common Defense, overseeing the vision and management of the organization's climate campaigns and programs. Previously, O'Brien served as the Organizing Director at Common Defense and worked as a Strategist and Program Director for #VetsVsHate at Beyond the Choir. O'Brien has also held roles as a Contract Administrator with the Committee of Interns and Residents/SEIU Healthcare and as a Research Associate/Community Organizer with Perkins Thompson. O'Brien holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from New York University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Cornell University. Prior military service includes serving as a Health Care Specialist in the US Army.
