Jacob Hurwitz

Jacob Hurwitz is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software development and community building. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Common Room since May 2021, Jacob previously held roles including Engineering Coach at Practica and Founding Engineer at Gem. Jacob's early experience includes positions as Software Engineer at Dropbox, where significant contributions were made as a Tech Lead on user growth and desktop preload projects, as well as internships at Dropbox and Facebook. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completed in 2014, following education at Montgomery Blair High School.
