Kaushik Barat is an experienced engineering manager currently leading initiatives at Common Room since October 2021. Previously, Kaushik has been with Microsoft since December 2007, where roles included Principal Software Engineer Manager and development lead for the School Data Sync service, automating roster synchronization for educational institutions. Early contributions included the core technology for the Fresh Paint application and significant roles at Infosys Technologies Ltd from 2003 to 2007. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering from both the University of Mumbai and Sardar Patel University.
