Andrea Gelzer

Andrea Gelzer MD, MS, FACP has 30 years of experience in health care. Most recently, Dr. Gelzer served as senior vice president of medical affairs and corporate chief medical officer for AmeriHealth Caritas, a Medicaid and Medicare managed care organization. For more than a decade, she focused on innovative clinical business models and opportunities to maximize growth and her efforts helped the company propel revenues over the course of her tenure. Prior to AmeriHealth Caritas, Dr. Gelzer served as Chief Medical Officer for Boston Medical Center HealthNet Plan, and in multiple senior roles at Cigna. She also practiced Internal Medicine for 12+ years and built an early accountable care organization and hospitalist service.
