Desiri Walker

Desiri Walker began their work experience in 1999 as a Branch Manager at Wells Fargo, where they worked until 2003. Desiri then joined Virginia Credit Union as a Branch Manager before transitioning to the role of Senior Learning & Development Specialist in 2011. At Virginia Credit Union, they designed, developed, and delivered training to frontline staff and managers, led new training initiatives, and provided coaching to newly trained staff. In 2018, they joined RVA Financial as the Director of Operations, where they worked until 2019. Currently, Desiri works as a Housing and Financial Counselor at Commonwealth Catholic Charities.

Desiri Walker pursued their education at Christopher Newport University from 1997 to 1999. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marketing. In addition to their academic achievements, Desiri Walker also obtained a certification as a Certified Housing Counselor from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in March 2020.
