Theresa Criss-Hartwig has a diverse work experience. Theresa started their career in 2000 as a Public Administration Specialist at Green River Area Development District, where they assisted local government officials with compliance issues, funding sources, and legislation tracking. Theresa then worked at Indiana 15 Regional Planning Commission as a Senior Project Administrator and Certified Grant Writer, managing grants and loan funds for various counties. In 2009, they joined Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. as a Business Development Manager, specializing in environmental engineering projects. In 2013, they became the Executive Director of the Indiana Association of Regional Councils (IARC), a position they held until 2017. Currently, they serve as the Business Development Director at Commonwealth Engineers, Inc.
Theresa Criss-Hartwig attended Western Kentucky University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Government and Business Administration. Prior to attending college, Theresa also attended Heritage Hills High School.
