Thavachelvan Kanaganathan

Thavachelvan "Thava" Kanaganathan currently serves as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President Head of IT Infrastructure at Commonwealth Financial Network since July 2023. Previously, Thava held the position of Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS) from May 2022 to July 2023. Thava's extensive experience includes roles such as Head of Enterprise Architecture and Manager of Information Technology at Investors Bank, as well as Director of Engineering and Operations at KDDI Corporation. Thava began a career in technology as a Network Engineer at Data Management Systems (Pvt) Ltd and has held various positions in engineering and operations throughout the years. Thava earned a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from NYU Tandon School of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.
