Dan Chapman

Dan Chapman is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in welding and manufacturing. Currently serving as a Senior Welding Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since September 2023, Dan previously held roles including Welding & Manufacturing Engineer at Astrobotic and Product Launch Engineer at ExOne. Between November 2017 and November 2020, Dan worked as a Welding Engineer at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, and prior to that, as a Welding Engineer/Material & Process Engineer at United Launch Alliance, where responsibilities included supporting manufacturing operations for rocket families and developing cost-saving initiatives. Additionally, Dan gained foundational experience as a Welding Engineer Intern at John Deere and an Engineering Intern at GAI Consultants. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University.
