Daniel Cykman

Daniel Cykman currently serves as the Diagnostics Engineering Manager and previously held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since August 2022. Prior to this role, Daniel was associated with SpaceX from February 2016 to June 2022, where responsibilities included Lead Starlink Product Engineer, Dragon Development Engineer II, and Avionics Mechanical Integration Engineer. During an internship at SpaceX in 2015, Daniel focused on integrating avionics hardware for the Falcon 9 rocket, utilizing various analytical methods. Earlier experiences include an engineering internship at Dart Manufacturing, where Daniel designed an automated pneumatic press, and roles in customer service and administrative support in various organizations. Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, completed in 2015, and graduated from Smithtown High School in 2012.
