Julia Witham

Julia Witham currently serves as the Diagnostic System Owner at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, beginning in October 2023. Previously, Julia was a Graduate Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2021 to May 2023, focusing on deep-space resource acquisition and managing the top-level assembly of a next-generation fusion power plant. Julia's engineering experience includes roles as Interface and PFC Design Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, where modular radiation shielding systems were developed, and as an Engineer at Neuralink. Prior positions involved significant contributions to reactor core design at Exelon Nuclear and program coordination at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Julia holds a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is currently pursuing graduate studies in the same field at MIT.
