Matthew Vernacchia

Matthew Vernacchia is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in scientific software and aerospace engineering. Currently serving as Senior Manager and Scientific Software Lead at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since May 2020, Matthew manages projects that enhance the design and understanding of magnets and tokamaks. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Matthew developed rocket propulsion systems, and multiple internships at SpaceX, focusing on propulsion and control systems.
