Peter Hartman

Peter Hartman is a mechanical engineer with comprehensive experience in various roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Field Mechanical Engineer 2 and previously as a Manufacturing Engineer 2 at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since September 2022, Peter has developed expertise in engineering design and testing processes. At Starry, Inc., from April 2021 to September 2022, notable achievements included the development of an innovative IPx5 water ingress test and an EMI shield design. As a Research Assistant at Northwestern University's Mechanical Engineering Department, Peter focused on creating a fingertip force sensor and designing a custom printed circuit board. Experience also includes roles at Steelcase as a Brand Ambassador and Engineering Product Development Intern, along with work at Segal Design Institute managing a machine shop and providing training. Peter Hartman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing and Design Engineering from Northwestern University in 2020.
