Roy Ragsdale

Roy Ragsdale is a highly experienced technology professional and military veteran with a strong background in embedded software engineering and cyber operations. As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer at Commonwealth Fusion Systems since November 2022, Ragsdale has progressed through multiple roles in the company. Prior experience includes serving as Squadron Technical Director and Lead Developer with the US Army, instructing the Digital Forensics course at the United States Military Academy at West Point, and holding the position of Research Scientist at the Army Cyber Institute, where Ragsdale significantly increased participation in national cyber competitions. Ragsdale's military career also includes leadership roles as Company Commander and Intelligence Officer, demonstrating a consistent record of establishing and leading teams in high-pressure environments. Ragsdale holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
