John Turner has a diverse work experience in the field of security and law enforcement. John started their career in 1991 at the Department of Youth Services in the Detention Center, where they ensured the proper care and custody of detainees. In 1994, they joined the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office as a Criminal Investigator. From 1996, they worked as the Chief Probation Officer in Boston's BMC Central Division for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

In 1995, John joined PINKERTON as a Protection Specialist and Investigator, a role they held until 2002. In 2002, they co-founded JMT Associates Inc., a security company that they successfully grew until its acquisition by MSA Security in 2008. At MSA Security, they served as the Assistant Director of Boston Operations until May 2014.

Since 2014, John has worked as an independent contractor for Peter Quinn & Associates, LLC and Torchstone Global, LLC, where they specialize in security.

John Turner earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Westfield State University, studying from 1986 to 1990.
