James Salgado

James Salgado has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James started their career as a Sales Associate at Radio Shack in 2003, where they consistently ranked in the top 10 salespeople in the district. From 2004 to 2007, they worked as an Account Manager at Coca-Cola Bottling Company, successfully managing a portfolio of 72 stores and achieving a 5% increase in quarterly sales.

In 2007, James joined WSKY-TV4 as an Account Executive, where they sold local advertising and achieved monthly, quarterly, and annual budget goals. James also provided market reports and accurately forecasted sales revenue and activity.

From 2008 to 2009, James served as an Admissions Representative at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, where they exceeded territory goals through recruiting activities and contacted prospective students to discuss the benefits of attending the campus.

James then worked as a Recruitment Inside Sales Executive at The Virginian-Pilot from 2009 to 2011, developing relationships with key decision-makers, translating knowledge of online recruitment advertising into sales, and delivering strategic sales plans to increase revenue.

In 2011, James became a Co-Owner of Backyard Sports Club, a social sports league in the Hampton Roads area that emphasized socializing and fun. James also joined PLANIT Technology Group as a Business Advocate, providing IT consulting services and solutions to customers in the commercial business sector.

Starting in 2012, James joined ADP, where they held several roles. As an Associate District Manager, they leveraged ADP's industry experience to provide business outsourcing solutions to employers and vehicle dealerships. James then became a District Manager, building partnerships with small business owners and helping them find the best HR and payroll solutions. Finally, they served as a Major Accounts District Manager, where they continued to assist small business owners while also developing relationships with accounting professionals and making connections in the banking community.

Their most recent work experience is as a Senior Account Manager at Commonwealth Payroll, Inc. since 2019. The company offers payroll, Human Capital Management software, timekeeping, and other employment solutions to businesses in the Hampton Roads area. James is responsible for managing customer accounts and providing tailored solutions for their payroll and HR needs.

James Salgado attended Kempsville High School from 1994 to 1998. Later, they pursued their higher education at Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business, where they studied Marketing Management from 1998 to 2003.
