George Pursey

George Pursey has extensive work experience in the aluminum industry. George began their career at Alcan Aluminum Corporation (now Novelis) in 1984 as a Customer Service Representative and later held roles as Customer Service Team Leader, Systems/IT Team Leader, Inside Sales Manager for the Industrial Products Group, Senior Account Manager, and Product Manager. In 2001, they became the Market Director for Distribution, OEM, and Import Products, responsible for developing and implementing the North American business strategy for marketing and sales. George joined Novelis in 2008 as the Market Director for Specialty Products, overseeing sales and marketing activities in North America. In 2014, they transitioned to Aleris as the Sales Director for Distribution, managing sales activities to Metal Service Centers in North America. George also served as the Sales Director for Common Alloy. Recently, in 2020, they became the Sales Director for Common Alloy at Commonwealth Rolled Products, Inc., focusing on all markets served by Metals Distribution and OEMs in North America.

George Pursey has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Applied Communication Theory and Methodology from Cleveland State University, Levin College of Urban Affairs and Education, School of Communication. George also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Organizational Communication, General from Cleveland State University. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts from Lakeland Community College.
