Alexander Cleland is an experienced analyst with a strong background in demographic analysis and urban research. Currently serving as a Demographic Analyst at the Commonwealth Treasury since October 2019, Alexander previously held positions at the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development as an Urban Researcher and at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet as an Adviser. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at the Australian Bureau of Statistics as a Demographic Analyst. Alexander holds a Graduate Certificate in Statistics from the University of Canberra and a Bachelor of Arts in Population Studies, History, and Philosophy from The Australian National University. Additionally, Alexander is pursuing a Masters of Applied Data Analytics with a focus on Statistics and Computing at The Australian National University.
