Juan Maree

Juan Maree currently serves as the Director of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission SA Agency since June 2014. Prior to this role, Juan operated as an independent contractor in the green industry from March 2012 to May 2014, providing consultations on horticultural and environmental matters. Juan's extensive experience in vegetation management and environmental impact assessments includes a position as a consultant and vegetation management specialist at Environmental Technical Solutions (2009-2012) and a long tenure as Chief Parks Sport and Recreation at Steve Tshwete Local Municipality (1991-2008). Additional roles include past president of the Cycad Rotary Club of Middelburg and horticulture positions at National Parks Board Kruger National Park and South African Transport Services. Juan is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Horticulture from the Royal Horticultural Society, with an extensive educational background in environmental management and horticulture.
