Leslie Newman has extensive experience in legal counsel within the telecommunications and broadband industries. Currently serving as Lead Counsel for Broadband Networks at CommScope since April 2019, following the company’s acquisition of ARRIS, Leslie oversees legal responsibilities for the Cable and Connectivity businesses, in addition to continuing with the ARRIS Network and Cloud businesses. Prior to CommScope, Leslie held the position of Lead Counsel for Network and Cloud at ARRIS from April 2013 to April 2019 and served as Senior Counsel for the Converged Experiences organization. Earlier roles include Senior Counsel at Motorola Mobility and Motorola Inc., where responsibilities encompassed commercial and technical transactions, negotiation of agreements with telecommunications providers, and strategic legal advice. Leslie holds an LLB from Queen's University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
