Norbert Takacs

Norbert Takacs has a diverse professional background in software engineering and management roles. Norbert began their career at Metalektro Kft., where they served as an Embedded Software Engineer. During this time, they developed measurement and data acquisition software and hardware for material testing systems. Notably, they designed and implemented a high-speed USB mass storage device firmware.

In 2006, Takacs joined GE Healthcare Hungary as a Senior Software Engineer. Here, they focused on designing real-time software for controlling the positioner unit of the Innova X-Ray Cardiovascular Imaging System. Norbert successfully completed various projects, including the development of 3D and Innova Spin features for biplane imaging devices.

Takacs then moved to Ericsson in 2014, serving as a Master Developer and Team Leader. Norbert worked on the Smart Service Router (SSR) IP router as an embedded software developer. Norbert was responsible for tasks such as designing and implementing Linux device drivers and board bring up for Intel CPU-based packet processor cards. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of Section Manager, leading a team of 18 software developers working on the SSR platform's development and testing. Norbert also took on project management responsibilities for small and medium-sized projects.

Next, they joined One Identity in 2018 as a Line Manager and later became a Senior Engineering Manager. In these roles, they oversaw engineering teams and contributed to the company's project success.

Currently, Takacs holds the position of Director of Engineering at Commsignia, starting in March 2023. Before this role, they served as an Engineering Manager. Further details regarding their work at Commsignia are not provided.

Norbert Takacs completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Obuda University, Kando Kalman Faculty of Electrical Engineering from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics at the University of Debrecen from 1994 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Norbert obtained certification as a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master in February 2015 from the Scrum Alliance.
