Gilles Metral

Gilles METRAL possesses extensive experience in the arts and education, currently serving as the Director of the CRD Paris-Saclay and Coordinator for the network of conservatories within the Communauté d'agglomération Paris-Saclay since February 2012. This role involves overseeing an artistic institution with 1,200 students and managing a team of 90 collaborators, including artists, educators, and technicians, while coordinating a network of nine conservatories. Prior to this position, Gilles METRAL worked as the Director of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Communal d'Herblay from October 1999 to January 2012, and before that, served as the Director of the Municipal Conservatory of Charleval from February 1985 to September 1999. Additionally, Gilles METRAL held notable positions as a solo trombonist with the Opéra National de Lyon and the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, and contributed as a Study Advisor at the ENMD of Beaune.
