Geoffrey Kent, CPA, CMA has a strong work experience in finance and accounting. Geoffrey is currently working as a Controller at Communication Technology Services (CTS). Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Finance at Outside Interactive, where they contributed to strategic planning, operations excellence, and financial management. Geoffrey also developed partnerships with treadmill OEM's and expanded the portfolio of races videotaped on race day.

Geoffrey also held the position of Vice President of Finance at PEAK Event Services, where they improved operational efficiency and upgraded software to enhance data integrity. Geoffrey served as the Controller at Bluesnap, Inc., where they strengthened internal controls and minimized operating costs by upgrading accounting software.

Additionally, Geoffrey worked as a Financial Controller at Crown Castle International, where they managed the relocation of the corporate headquarters and led a team in financial reporting and analysis. Geoffrey also served as a Controller at BTU Ventures, where they played a key role in developing financial statements and coordinating financial analysis and planning.

Earlier in their career, Geoffrey held the role of Controller at Optasite, Inc., a cellular communication tower owner/developer. Geoffrey contributed to significant company growth, including raising equity and credit facilities. Geoffrey also served as the Controller at IBEX Process Technology and Thinking Investments, where they managed accounting and HR functions.

Geoffrey Kent, CPA, CMA has a strong educational background in accounting and business. Geoffrey obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Bentley University in 1982. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1996.

To further enhance their skills and knowledge, Geoffrey also attended several executive education programs. In 2020, they participated in the Private Equity program at Columbia Business School, acquiring expertise in investment strategies. Additionally, they completed an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan Executive Education.

Geoffrey holds numerous certifications that showcase their proficiency in various areas. Geoffrey is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), having obtained this prestigious designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in October 1997. Geoffrey also holds the title of Certified Management Accountant (CMA), awarded by Certified Management Accountant: CMA® in March 1997. Moreover, Geoffrey is a Certified Financial Manager, certified by the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in September 1997.

In recent years, Geoffrey has continued to expand their expertise through various specialized certifications. Geoffrey obtained the Blockchain Fundamentals for Accounting and Finance Professionals Certificate from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in September 2019. In April 2020, they became an Excel 2016 Master by completing a program offered by ExcelCEO.
