Hongwei Liu is the CEO of mappedin, where they drive the strategic direction of the company, helping real estate operators digitize their physical assets. Since 2011, they have led mappedin’s growth from a three-person founding team to a 75+ person operation. Previously, Hongwei worked at BlackBerry's radio-frequency lab, where they focused on circuit design and RF testing. They are currently also a board member at Communitech and Intellectual Property Ontario, contributing to the tech and entrepreneurship community. Hongwei studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Waterloo and continues to be passionate about the intersection of web technology and physical environments.
