Deidre Brown

Deidre Brown is an experienced professional in event management and public relations, currently serving as the Special Events Manager at Communities In Schools of Central Texas since March 2022. With a long-standing role as Owner and Principal Consultant at Detailed Weddings & Events LLC since 2001, Deidre has developed expertise in marketing, event logistics, and client relations, successfully managing a diverse range of events. Previous experience includes roles as Public Relations Manager at Adisa Communications, Director of Convention and Tourism at the Capital City African-American Chamber of Commerce, Communications Director at the Austin Bar Association, and Congressional Aide for the U.S. House of Representatives. Deidre holds a Bachelor of Journalism in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin.
