Nicole Ornelas has extensive experience in social work and program management, currently serving as Program Director for Campus Based Services and SmartKids Programming at Communities In Schools of Central Texas since March 2018. Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality after-school activities for at-risk youth, providing school-based case management, coordinating service delivery teams, and maintaining relationships with partners and funders. Previous roles include Rehabilitation Specialist at Integral Care-Austin, where case management and skills training for clients were primary duties, and a Medical Social Work Intern at Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation. Nicole also gained experience as a Counselor at YMCA of Austin and as a Social Work Intern with Greater San Marcos Youth Council, and has a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Texas State University.
