Katie McDowell

Katie McDowell is a Program Manager at Communities In Schools of Nevada, overseeing Academy and Site Coordinator activities for secondary schools in the Western Nevada Affiliate. Previously, Katie worked as an Intervention Specialist at Washoe County School District, where Katie led the Communities in Schools Academy and designed technical process curriculum for students. With a background in English Language Arts teaching and experience as a Business Owner specializing in event planning, DJing, and custom signage, Katie brings a diverse skill set to their current role. Katie holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing.
