Jill Cox

Jill Cox serves as the President and CEO of Communities In Schools of North Carolina, a position held since January 2014, with experience as the Chief Operating Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer. During their tenure, Jill successfully increased the organization's budget from $3 million to $5 million while expanding staff from 40 to 70. Prior roles include VP of Communications, Innovation & Strategy, and Director of Communications and Government Relations at United Way of North Carolina, where Jill developed crisis response strategies and led multi-state partnerships. Previous experience encompasses directorship roles at Triangle United Way and public information efforts at NC DENR-Division of Water Quality, along with a background in constituent services for Congressman Steve Schiff. Jill holds a BA in Journalism from Texas State University.
