Kai Medina

Kai Medina has a range of experience in various roles within the social services field. Starting in 2015, Kai served as a Volunteer Coordination and Outreach Intern at the Washington Heights CORNER Project, where they created educational materials and conducted conflict resolution in a drop-in space. In 2016, Kai became a Youth Counselor at The Ali Forney Center, facilitating workshops and providing support for LGBTQ youth. They later transitioned to becoming a LEAP Case Manager, coordinating care and providing ongoing support. In 2018, Kai worked as a Care Coordinator at NADAP, addressing barriers to care and advocating for marginalized clients. From 2019 to 2022, Kai served as an Outreach Coordinator and Naloxone Distributor at St. Anne's Corner of Harm Reduction, coordinating a team and conducting community-based outreach. Currently, Kai is working as an Assistant Program Director at Community Access, overseeing staff, promoting supportive relationships, and handling workforce management tasks.

Kai Medina holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Community Studies and Critical Race and Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. No specific start or end year is provided for this educational experience.
