Kai Medina

Assistant Program Director at Community Access

Kai Medina has a range of experience in various roles within the social services field. Starting in 2015, Kai served as a Volunteer Coordination and Outreach Intern at the Washington Heights CORNER Project, where they created educational materials and conducted conflict resolution in a drop-in space. In 2016, Kai became a Youth Counselor at The Ali Forney Center, facilitating workshops and providing support for LGBTQ youth. They later transitioned to becoming a LEAP Case Manager, coordinating care and providing ongoing support. In 2018, Kai worked as a Care Coordinator at NADAP, addressing barriers to care and advocating for marginalized clients. From 2019 to 2022, Kai served as an Outreach Coordinator and Naloxone Distributor at St. Anne's Corner of Harm Reduction, coordinating a team and conducting community-based outreach.
