Vanessa Philbert has extensive experience in the non-profit sector. Vanessa served as the Chief Executive Officer at the Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County from December 2019 to present. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Impact Officer from October 2018 to December 2019. Vanessa also served as the Impact Team Leader - Household Stability at the same organization from July 2016 to October 2018.
Before joining Community Action Partnership, Vanessa worked at Pressley Ridge as a Program Coordinator from April 2010 to July 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Community Impact at United Way of Lancaster County Pa from September 2007 to April 2010.
Vanessa's career in the non-profit sector started at Community Action Program, where they worked as a Program Director from August 2003 to September 2007.
Vanessa Philbert earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Psychology & Organizational Behaviors from Albright College, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Vanessa then pursued further education, completing a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Strategic Leadership and Organizational Development at Elizabethtown College from 2014 to 2016.

The Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County champions the achievement of long-term self-sufficiency for individuals and families through services and advocacy targeting the elimination of poverty. Each year CAP reaches nearly 30,000 low-income families through services that support child development & education, health & nutrition, household stability, and public safety & violence prevention to help them not only meet their essential daily needs but to work toward long-term financial self-sufficiency.
