Neil Frater (Vice-Chair) retired from the Home Office in 2005 after 41 years. He has been active in the local VCS since 1988, including being a trustee and for many years chair of Community Action Sutton. He was also a local councillor from 1986-94. He is an active golfer and regular walker of his (3rd) black labrador. He also enjoys reading, listening to music, cooking, watching sport and tasting real ales and good wines. Neil says his experience as a trustee helped him develop in his job to a senior level and believes being able to draw on his experience at work has helped him continue to make a valuable contribution as a trustee after retirement.
