Steve Schultz has a diverse range of work experience. Steve currently serves as the Strategic Development Director at Community Advocates, Inc., where they identify gaps in programs and services, overcomes barriers to accessing programming, and secures governmental resources to implement strategic initiatives. Previously, they worked as the Advancement/Development Manager at Betty Brinn Children's Museum, where they coordinated financial and community support for museum operations and early childhood development programming. Steve also has experience as a Lead Policy Analyst at Social Development Commission, where they analyzed public policy data, researched current issues and legislation, and drafted strategic policy and programmatic actions. Additionally, they worked as a Grant Writer/Researcher at Social Development Commission, where they obtained resources for agency programming and developed strategic funding plans. In the past, they have held positions as a research assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and COA Youth & Family Centers, and as a Pre-Trial Service Worker with Wisconsin Correctional Services.
Steve Schultz obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1990. Afterward, they went on to pursue their Master of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, which they completed in 1997. Steve furthered their education by earning a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, specializing in Social Work from 1997 to 2000.
