Matthew Newkirk

Matthew Newkirk is a dedicated and experienced professional with a strong background in journalism, web design, and production. Currently serving as an Innovation Lab Intern at CommunityAmerica Credit Union since May 2022, Matthew also operates Newkirk Web Design, which Matthew founded in August 2018, designing websites and marketing strategies for local businesses. Previous roles include Creative Videographer at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Producer for KOMU 8 & Mid-Missouri CW's Sports Xtra, where Matthew excelled in high-pressure environments. Additional experience includes reporting for various sports teams, managing events and broadcasts at Thunder Broadcasting Network, and overseeing kitchen operations at The Broadmoor. Matthew is pursuing a degree in Journalism with a focus on Broadcast Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia, building on a solid foundation from St. James Academy.
