Tonja Fowlkes has extensive experience in the field of social work and counseling. Currently serving as a Therapist II at Catholic Charities since August 2005, Tonja specializes in therapy and education groups as well as individual counseling. Additionally, since January 2003, Tonja has been a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor at Community Assessment & Treatment Services (CATS), Inc., focusing on relapse prevention group therapy and family group counseling. Prior experience includes a role as a Chemical Dependency Counselor at Berea Children's Home & Family Services, where responsibilities included individual counseling, assessments, and developing support groups for females with treatment experience. Tonja's career began as an Office Manager at Hu Ani & Associates, where general office duties were performed. Tonja holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Social Work from Capital University.

CATS - An Overview CATS manages numerous programs targeted to a variety of specific populations. We offer multiple levels of care ranging from outpatient to residential services. At present CATS has three sites with the capacity to serve: 151 men in the Men's Residential Treatment Program, which provides treatment from 30 to 90 days. 60 women in the Women's Residential Treatment Program, which provides treatment from 30 to 90 days. 16 men in our Wadsworth Residential Program in Medina County. CATS has a total of 227 residential beds. The CATS'​ Outpatient Program serves up to 90 individuals a day, providing assessments, individual and group counseling, and case management services. We also have 60 Sober Housing beds at our Cleveland location, available to both men & women. To date, CATS has served over 45,000 individuals and their families. CATS experiences a 72% success rate, defined as individuals who enter treatment and complete their assigned level of care.
