Community Based Services
Matthew Szlapka has extensive experience in the direct support field, primarily focused on providing social and emotional assistance to disabled adults through various organizations, including Another Step Inc., Hawthorne Foundation, Community Based Services, and Independent Support Services, Inc. Since August 2016, Matthew has consistently advocated for independent living while delivering individualized care across home, workplace, and activity settings. Prior roles include job coaching at JCCA and a variety of administrative positions, showcasing a well-rounded skill set in both support and administrative functions. Matthew holds multiple degrees from Manhattanville University and Manhattanville College, including a Bachelor of Arts and Master's degrees in English Writing and Liberal Arts.
