Miguel Venereo MD, FACOG, CPPS has extensive work experience in various medical leadership roles. Miguel currently serves as the Sr. VP and Chief Medical Officer at South Florida Community Care Network and Community Care Plan. Prior to this, they were the Lead Consultant at SafeHealth Professional Consultants Corp. and President/CEO at Medical Integrated Technologies, where they focused on improving the quality of care, patient safety, and utilization of resources through the integration of technologies in healthcare. Miguel also served as the Medical Director at Medica Health Plans, supporting physicians in providing efficient care and improving the health and quality of life for insured members. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Director of Medical Affairs at Memorial Hospital West.

Dr. Miguel Venereo has a diverse education history. In 1977, they pursued their MD degree in Medicine at the Universidad Central del Este - UCE, where they studied until 1980. Later, in 2010, Dr. Venereo undertook a Patient Safety Fellowship at the NPSF-AHA, during which they focused on enhancing patient safety practices. Miguel completed the fellowship in 2011.

Community Care Plan

Community Care Plan (CCP), 'the health plan with a heart,'​ was introduced in 2000 as South Florida Community Care Network (SFCCN), the first safety-net hospital-owned Provider Service Network. CCP serves 100,000+ members enrolled in Medicaid, Florida Healthy Kids, sponsored programs, and self-insured employee health plans. CCP is owned by Memorial Healthcare System and Broward Health. Community Care Plan maintains accreditation and has earned Multicultural Health Care Distinction for its Medicaid Health Plan by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). CCP is also fully accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) as a Health Plan. MISSION To promote healthier communities.
