Lauren Schempp has a diverse work experience. Lauren started working as a Social Worker at The Village for Families & Children in 2007 and held this position until 2011. In 2007, they also began working at the Community Child Guidance Clinic as the Coordinator of Clinical Day Programs. In this role, they provided clinical oversight and administrative management for all clinical day programs. Lauren later became the Director of Special Initiatives, where they were responsible for overseeing various departments and managing budgets. Recently, Lauren has taken on the role of Vice President of Administration at the Community Child Guidance Clinic, where they contribute to the strategic goals of the organization by providing leadership and direction. Additionally, they have their own private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2010.
Lauren Schempp holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Western New England University. Lauren is also certified as an Initial Educator by the Connecticut State Department of Education since 2016 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, granted by the Connecticut Department of Public Health in 2010.

The Community Child Guidance Clinic is a private, non-profit organization that has been serving our constituents since 1959, with a mission to assist and support children with emotional and behavioral issues. We provide programs and services to more than 1,000 families each year, including early intervention programs, educational services, home-based interventions, outpatient services, and a system of child and family-focused mental health services.
