Julie Torkelson

Julie Torkelson has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Julie is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Community Choice Financial Family of Brands since 2024. Before that, they worked at TMX Finance Family of Companies for a significant period, starting as an Office Manager at Aussie Outfitters in 1993 and gradually climbing up the ladder to become their Vice President, Corporate Controller. Julie also held various finance-related positions at Pier 1 Imports, including Director of Finance and Director of Enterprise Quality Assurance. Torkelson began their career at Crescent Real Estate as a Manager of Financial Reporting and also worked at The Bombay Company as the Manager of Accounts Payable and Inventory Analysis. Overall, they have a strong background in finance, accounting, and leadership, with extensive experience guiding organizations in making sound financial decisions and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Julie Torkelson completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University from 1991 to 1993. Julie then pursued further education and obtained a BBA degree in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington from 1993 to 1995.
