Shahrukh Kabir is a skilled accounting professional with extensive experience in various sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at Community Coalition since November 2022, Shahrukh is responsible for reconciling cash and balance sheet accounts, implementing GL maintenance controls, managing grant budgets, and overseeing the accuracy of financial data. Previous roles include Finance and Accounting Associate at Robert Half, Accountant at Everest International Ltd, and Finance Associate at Nagad, where Shahrukh contributed to compliance and reporting efforts within fast-growing companies. Shahrukh began the accounting journey as an intern at The Daily Mirror - Dhaka and also held a community outreach position with the Bangladesh Students Association of Melbourne. Academically, Shahrukh holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Economics and an MBA in Professional Accounting, both from La Trobe University.

Community Coalition
Our Mission: To help transform the social and economic conditions in South LA that foster addiction, crime, violence and poverty by building a community institution that involves thousands in creating, influencing and changing public policy. Who We Are: Community leaders, including U.S. Congresswoman Karen Bass, founded Community Coalition as a non-profit organization in 1990 in response to the 1980's crack cocaine epidemic that devastated South LA. The goal was to provide preventative community-centered solutions to the drug problem. Community Coalition works with African American and Latino residents to build a prosperous and healthy South LA with safe neighborhoods, quality schools, a strong social safety net and positive economic development in order to reduce crime, poverty and substance abuse in our community.
